Healthy Recipes 101 - Supplements

Part of being healthy and eating healthy involves a good multivitamin. I use a popular all-in-one multivitamin, joint health, digestion and immunization. They're kind of big, and you take 6 a day, but boy do they work. It comes with a 45 day supply, and isn't too expensive. I ordered mine off Amazon. I also take 4 1000mg fish oil every day, for heart health. It also was cheap at Amazon.

6 pounds dropped so far since I started this little blog. No gym time (yet), just purely changing and watching what I eat. I'm kind of surprised how easy it is so far

Healthy Recipes 101 #1: The basics - Grilled Chicken

Boneless/Skinless Grilled Chicken Breast (2 servings) - 250 calories - 4.5g fat - 0g carbs - 49g protein
Frozen Mixed Vegetables (2 servings) - 180 calories - 1.5g fat - 33g carbs - 6g protein
Rice (2 servings) - 320 calories - 0g fat - 72g carbs - 6g protein

TOTALS: 750 calories - 6g fat - 105g carbs - 61g protein

30 minute meal. If that. Beats a fast food burger in every way possible.

1 cup of rice + 2 cups of water in a rice cooker (optional, you can use a pot on the stove). Throw some frozen vegetables in a pot. Salt and pepper your chicken and cook it on the grill. Not bad for your first batch of health food.

Stay healthy!

Healthy Recipes Intro

If you're anything like me, you can certainly make healthier eating choices. With fast food at every corner, piles and piles of processed food at our finger tips, it's easy to forget your nutritional priorities. Loaded with salt, cholesterol, fat, and all our favorites, it's no wonder we keep going back for more. It's why I did! I'm one of those people.

I'm no nutritionist. I'm no doctor. I'm a college student with a goal: to eat healthy(er) than I have been. This blog will be my journal as I attempt to accomplish this goal. Recipes, tips, weight loss, etc, will all be a part of this experience. Maybe a few of you will join me down this path. With all this in mind, instead of reaching in for that can of soda, here's to hoping!

Cheers!
